Staff and vacationers at a first-class resort on the island of Maui are mysteriously disappearing. A biologist believes that an underwater earthquake has awakened a giant and voracious prehistoric fish from its slumber. Now, hungry and unleashed, the fish begins to feast on the unsuspecting tourists. As chaos ensues, local fishermen embark on a mission to find and kill the creature before it devours more lives.
