A scientific expedition to Loch Ness faces trouble when the group leader dies in a mysterious diving accident. Shortly after, the unconventional Professor Howell takes over, and strange incidents and attacks escalate. As Howell and TV producer Elizabeth Borden investigate the source of the disturbances, the body of an enormous sea creature washes up on the lake's shore.
