Christina, a teenager, moves with her younger brother Bobby and their father James to a small Washington town to be near her institutionalized mother, Joanne. While Christina suspects someone else is in their house, her father dismisses it as the building settling. When two teenagers go missing, Sheriff Mark Sklar questions the family, as the teens were last seen near their home. The discovery of a body in a nearby river prompts an investigation into the unsettling events surrounding the house.
