At a boys' prep school, the headmistress Claire is struggling with her abusive husband Michael, who is having an affair with a teacher named Vicky. When Michael starts abusing Vicky, they both decide to get revenge by killing him. They stage it as an accident, but when the body disappears, they fear they've been caught.
