Five years later, her mother Claudia, now struggling with addiction, receives a mysterious call from someone claiming to be Angela, setting off a series of enigmatic clues hinting at her daughter's survival. Claudia, along with a parapsychology reporter and a run-down ex-cop, embark on a quest to find Angela and uncover the truth.
