Dr. Stephanie Lyell, testing a personality-altering drug on notorious serial killer Marc Gilmour, faces a crisis when bizarre suicides occur at her apartment complex. Homicide Detective Terry Hamilton links these deaths to the drug's sinister side effects on Gilmour. As Terry and Stephanie experience terrifying dreams and hallucinations, they realize they are trapped in Gilmour's nightmarish world with no hope of escape.
