In 1987, serial killer and rapist Abbot Hayes vanished from the morgue, triggering a zombie plague that devastated his hometown. Fourteen years later, the aging residents try to bury their dark past. However, when a businessman desecrates the local cemetery to build a car dealership, Abbot rises again, determined to create an undead army and seize control.
