A group of children freed from the Gross-Rosen concentration camp are taken to a temporary orphanage in an abandoned palace, where their caretaker Hanka helps them recover from the horrors they endured. Their fragile sense of safety is shattered when a pack of feral German Shepherds, once used by the SS, surrounds the palace, forcing the children to rely on the survival instincts they learned in the camp.
