The book is not one of King's best, but it still maintains a somewhat cohesive pace that keeps you turning the page. On the other hand, the movie is boring and constantly struggles to decide what to focus on, resulting in every detail becoming so diluted that the overall outcome looks like a messy, generic, low-budget 90s TV movie.
