Although the plot may be somewhat predictable, Flanagan skillfully emphasizes the suspense and drama of the fractured community and its conflicted characters. The horror element provides a fundamental rhythm, building a tangible tension that will often catch you off guard.

It started as a breath of fresh air to the genre, even capturing the interest of those who aren't typically fans of zombies. However, over time, it became repetitive, uninteresting, dull, and shallow; painful to watch. The epitome of beating a dead... well, something that refuses to die.

Good to watch, interesting, great Acting,

good to watch movie

A fun binge if you don't expect anything too deep. The cast is the best part of the show and does a lot of the heavy lifting.

Still, it feels like this was originally planned to be something else, maybe something tied to the Stranger Things universe or with a deeper lore, before being watered down into what it eventually became. That becomes more apparent as the season goes on, with the story running out of gas after the first episodes and slowly going around in circles toward the end.

I totally understand the critics. The show got weird, slow, repetitive... but I still think it has a quality that sets it above any other similar shows, and an impact on popular culture that is very hard to accomplish in this era.

It did go out on a high note, and the last season returned to the quality of the first two. Perhaps there is hope in one of the spin-offs.

The idea and setting are pretty cool and unique to grab your interest, but they never really live up to their potential. The movie sets up a really tense vibe with some awesome shots, but the ending is kind of a letdown after all the buildup.

Funny, scary, engaging, and with a spectacular use of the resources at hand to create a game changing saga.

After so many failed attempts, I've come to accept that Junji Ito's work just doesn't translate well to animation. This is another case where the lackluster animation, the lack of creativity, and the lack of tension fail to capture the essence of his work.

I feel that many of the stories lose their atmosphere in translation, and each episode feels more uninspired than the last. Except for a few bright spots, the show rarely leaves an impression.

The biggest Godzilla ever 🦖

One of those films that makes all the difference when watched on IMAX.

An instant classic! Great performances all around and an unforgettable ending set a new standard for body horror.

I don’t think anything works in this film and there’s no real audience for it.

Visually incredible, great performances, but the rhythm is sooo slow that some of the details get too diluted. I had to force myself to watch the last chapters just to finish the story.

Although it's a must-watch for fans of 90s teen horror, Urban Legend is not as memorable as films like Scream or 'Last Summer.' It has some nice sequences and details, but it feels more like a cash-in opportunity than a film done with love for the genre.

Flanagan took only a few elements from the original and skillfully crafted his own thing in this unexpected prequel. The film is beautifully shot and impressively makes the most of limited resources.

A better revival (requel?) than you might expect, going back to its roots of not taking itself and the genre too seriously while showing its love to slashers and horror in general. It surely breathes new life to the franchise and will leave you waiting for more.

A mind-blowing (literally) experience that cements Cronenberg’s style as a genre unto itself.

One of the few great Stephen King adaptations. A great balance of suspense and scares, with a spoonful of gore to reach a gripping and inevitable conclusion.

While the execution and atmosphere are impressive and sure to satisfy Flanagan fans, the story itself tends to become overly diluted and unnecessarily lengthy.

A new final girl for a new generation, go Erin!
