Director Rebekah McKendry’s Glorious creates a darkly comedic and bloody cosmic journey for a man trapped in a restroom.

This blackly humorous historical romp about the rise of Catherine de’ Medici keeps its feet pretty firmly in the muck.

Startling premise aside, this horror two-hander starring Ryan Kwanten and J.K. Simmons (as the voice of the glory hole) is a let-down.

Ultimately, this offers a clever concept and a cool acting exercise, but it falls short of glory.
