Disillusioned L.A. cop Max Dire faces troubles both on the job and in his personal life. Invited by enigmatic officer Adam Garou to join a secret task force, Max discovers a serum that grants werewolf powers. Skepticism turns to renewed passion for fighting crime. However, when Max's friend Casey Spencer is murdered, Garou's true intentions come to light, forcing Max to confront his former mentor.
