María and Manuel have a plan: spend New Years with Manuel's sister and her partner, and take the opportunity to ask them for a very delicate favor. Their hosts have all the money that María and Manuel lack, but very strange things happen in their house - things even weirder than the New Age rituals and practices of the owners, or the unsettling group of white-clad servants they call their "godchildren."
