After a lengthy journey, a couple arrives at the Usher mansion to find its inhabitants, siblings Roderick and Madeline, afflicted with a mysterious malady. Roderick's senses are painfully acute, while Madeline is nearly catatonic. Roderick reveals a family curse: whenever there are multiple Usher children, all siblings go insane and suffer horrific deaths. As days pass, the curse reaches its terrifying climax.
