A diverse group is abducted from their homes and transported by helicopter to a futuristic bomb shelter deep in the desert, two miles below ground. There, they discover a nuclear holocaust is underway and they've been selected by a computer to survive and repopulate humanity. However, their sanctuary is invaded by a colony of bloodthirsty vampire bats, unleashing relentless attacks on the humans.
