In 1661 Mexico, the Baron Vitelius of Astara faces the wrath of the Holy Inquisition for witchcraft and necromancy, meeting his demise in flames. With his dying breath, he vows retribution against the descendants of his persecutors. Three centuries later, as a comet once seen on the night of his execution returns, so does the Baron, transformed into a monstrous entity that feeds on human brains, haunting the lineage of the Inquisitors.
