Tiny creatures known as 'Parasytes' invade Earth, aiming to seize control of human brains and prey on mankind. One of them attaches to high school student Shinichi Izumi, but he manages to prevent it from reaching his brain, leaving it trapped in his right hand. Despite their initial animosity, Shinichi forms a peculiar bond with the creature, which he names 'Migi.'
