In 1974, four astronauts crash-land on Mars with only four days of supplies. After exploring a golden cavern, enduring a storm, and finding an unmanned Earth vessel, they discover a golden road leading to the ruins of a Martian city. Modeled after the Flatheads of Oz, the Martians' collective consciousness, the "Wizard," forbids their departure until they complete a small task.
