A boy, known only as 'The Boy,' begins to doubt under the influence of another mysterious child and rebels against his guardian, 'The Carpenter.' In doing so, he uncovers his inherent powers and a fate beyond his understanding. As he wields these powers, he and his family become targets of both natural and divine horrors.
