A beautiful actress lands the lead role in a new play based on a legendary ghost story and manages to get her lover, a relatively unknown actor, cast alongside her. As rehearsals begin for the play, which centers on an abusive relationship and a lingering grudge, the cast members start developing their own obsessions. Trapped between the narrative of the play and their real lives, they are horrified to discover that the grudge can transcend the boundary between reality and fiction.
