Charlie’s ex-wife disappears, prompting him to travel to her rural Midwest hometown in search of her. Surprisingly, no one in the town has ever heard of her or her many relatives, the Newmans. Charlie encounters aliens, but the FBI dismisses his claims. Desperate, he shares his story with a tabloid, only to find himself pursued by the aliens.
