Georgia Perry has long dreamed of joining the elite ranks those who have sailed solo around the world. Alone on her 38-foot yacht Leander, with only her cat Taco for company, her sole contact with the outside world is a two-way radio. Strange occurrences begin on the homeward stretch of her voyage, when the yacht becomes becalmed and immersed in dense fog in the Indian Ocean.
