Mystery writer Sian Anderson retreats to the ancient Greek town of Monemvassia for three weeks of focused writing, leaving her boyfriend John behind. Upon arrival in the deserted, walled fortress, she’s greeted by Elias Appleby, her eccentric landlord, who leads her through underground tunnels to her lodging. He warns her to stay indoors at night due to the deadly winds that sweep through after dark.
