Liu Ah Yee is a compulsive gambler who frequents the cruise ship Neptune, where Pit Bud works. After Pit tries to help her despite hiding the truth about his job from his girlfriend, Ah Yee turns to the Bud family for guidance. Mrs. Bud refuses to solve her problems through fortune-telling, instead putting Ah Yee through a series of exercises to overcome her gambling addiction. Only after completing them does Ah Yee reveal the heartbreaking reason behind her obsession with gambling.
