After being caught stealing from a hotel, Christin stages a fake suicide to gain sympathy, but accidentally dies for real. She returns as a vengeful ghost, terrorizing the hotel and killing those she blames for her fate, forcing a spirit-fighting ex-wife to confront the deadly haunting.
