Henry, a shy and lonely man, buys a plant that starts talking to him in a seductive female voice. The plant enjoys eating bugs, then progresses to frogs, dogs, and cats. Eventually, it expresses a desire to taste a woman, like the ones in the pictures Henry has hanging in his room.
