After a death occurs in the subterranean project known as 'Shadowzone,' a NASA captain is called in to investigate. In this project, sleeping subjects are induced into an 'extended deep sleep' state, becoming portals to a parallel universe. Unfortunately, during an experiment, a malfunction blows the site’s main power transformer, and the team soon realizes that something is stalking them.
