In 1958, young servant Anna Jurin arrives at Saint Ange Orphanage in the French Alps to work with caretaker Helena after the orphans are relocated. Secretly pregnant, Anna bonds with Judith, a troubled orphan left behind, as they both begin hearing mysterious voices and footsteps of children.
