The first episode is the best adaptation I could have hoped for from the manga. However, after years of development and with only four episodes to animate, the show takes a weird and very noticeable dip in quality and pacing. It’s still watchable, but the end result is a bittersweet reminder of the potential it had but never fully realized.

An instant classic! Great performances all around and an unforgettable ending set a new standard for body horror.

This remake adds nothing to the original and tries to answer questions that were best left unresolved. It's watchable but completely unnecessary, leaving little hope for the two sequels.

The idea and setting are pretty cool and unique to grab your interest, but they never really live up to their potential. The movie sets up a really tense vibe with some awesome shots, but the ending is kind of a letdown after all the buildup.

Okay, so it's not breaking any new ground, but this movie still stands out a bit from the usual crowd. It follows the typical storyline, but there's a cool little twist that shakes things up. This change keeps you hooked and maintains a good rhythm throughout. Makes it more interesting compared to other flicks of its kind.

I don’t think anything works in this film and there’s no real audience for it.

It's really bad, but it's a real fun time. You can guess exactly what you'll get in a film where Jason Statham stops a colossal shark with his foot. Enough said.

It started as a breath of fresh air to the genre, even capturing the interest of those who aren't typically fans of zombies. However, over time, it became repetitive, uninteresting, dull, and shallow; painful to watch. The epitome of beating a dead... well, something that refuses to die.

Pros: It has one of the most memorable opening scenes in horror (in cinema, in general?)
Cons: The film continues.

As a film, it's really bad. However, if you're a fan of Stephen King and watch it solely as an experiment or a guilty pleasure, you might find some enjoyment, although not much.

Flanagan took only a few elements from the original and skillfully crafted his own thing in this unexpected prequel. The film is beautifully shot and impressively makes the most of limited resources.

It didn't need to do much to be good; no one really expects a lot of depth from Scream, just some fun and action. But this time, the plot and the killer's motives (and their reason to wait and delay the killing of our protagonists) are too thin, even for Scream.

A captivating tale unfolds through two parallel narratives, delving into the past and present of the Russells, a family plagued by a haunting tragedy. Is it supernatural or just a tangled web of shared psychological demons?

In the present, the two Russell children reunite and try to find the truth, but they don't know that their quest might make things worse.

The book is not one of King's best, but it still maintains a somewhat cohesive pace that keeps you turning the page. On the other hand, the movie is boring and constantly struggles to decide what to focus on, resulting in every detail becoming so diluted that the overall outcome looks like a messy, generic, low-budget 90s TV movie.

Yes, it's a teen show that relies on a lot of teen tropes, but its above-average quality and its genuine love for 80s horror and sci-fi make it a must-watch for both current youngsters and us, not so current ones.

The story is straightforward and exactly what you’d expect, but the great performances and perfect balance between scary, emotional, and funny elements make it stand out. It goes beyond the meme and turns M3gan into a terrifying toy that a new generation will both want to avoid and be drawn to.

A better revival (requel?) than you might expect, going back to its roots of not taking itself and the genre too seriously while showing its love to slashers and horror in general. It surely breathes new life to the franchise and will leave you waiting for more.

Though is still a better "scary movie" than most scary movies, it starting to look more like Scary Movie.

This instant classic reinvented the slasher genre for a new generation, poking fun at itself and the genre, but not in a disrespectful way. Instead, it’s more like a love letter to horror movies in general

A mind-blowing (literally) experience that cements Cronenberg’s style as a genre unto itself.
